Hello!
At our last meeting we talked about our impressions of the Acquisitions systems reviewed and I mentioned that the next step is to create a preliminary recommendation report. I have created a draft of a report based on the meeting, the vendor demo checklist
notes, and any vendor follow-up. The demo checklists notes and demo follow-up are linked here:
https://www.scls.info/ils-evaluation-2024-2025#ACQ. Also, I have attached the notes from our last meeting. To move forward with the putting together the recommendation report, there are a couple of tasks that I am asking you to do.
Poll for January meeting
I have created a
poll to find a date for a January workgroup meeting. Please complete this poll by
Tuesday, January 7, so I can schedule the meeting. I will also be working to schedule a virtual site visit for SirsiDynix Technical Services and would use the poll to find dates for that as well.
Preliminary report
Here is a draft of the
Acquisitions Workgroup Report. Each system has a pros and cons section. I have filled in some pros and cons based on the demos and discussions. Please review this draft and add your own pros and cons. I don't have a deadline for this right but everyone
should have reviewed this by our meeting, so the deadline is by the meeting (yet to be scheduled). At our meeting we can review this and make the final recommendation to the Lead Workgroup. There are some outstanding questions that have been sent to the vendors
and I expect to have these answers by mid-January.
